Banana and cinnamon porridge

My youngest son loves this porridge so I often make it for both of us – although he’s not a fan of seeds so I put a small squirt of honey on his. It literally takes 5 minutes to make but it will set you up so well for your morning! This recipes serves 2, so just halve the quantities if you are just cooking for yourself.



Banana and cinnamon porridge

  • 2/3 cup of porridge oats
  • 1 cup of almond or other milk
  • 1/3 cup of water
  • 1 tablespoon of ground almonds
  • 1/2 banana, cut into small pieces
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons of pumpkin seeds


  1. Place oats, almond milk, water and ground almonds in a saucepan and mix well.
  2. Heat over a medium heat for 2-3 minutes, then add chopped banana and cinnamon and cook for a further 2 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat, pour into bowls and top with seeds of your choice.
